My name is Camila Tessler, and I hold a Master of Letters from Newcastle University in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, UK in Children’s Literature, and a Master of Arts from the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona in Information Resources and Library Science. My research primarily focuses on representations of age in fantasy fiction, but that isn’t my only interest: I am heavily interested in graphic novels as a young adult narrative, perceptions of magical realism and ambiguity in work for girls, and Latin American representation in work for children. I’m a trained archivist and have been published on the topic of restriction, privacy, and access in contemporary collections. My area of focus is in literary collections but I have training and experience with historical as well as congressional papers!
